Nature, some culture, recreation & relaxation.

Famorca is a picturesque village of about 50 houses clustered in the heart if the Valle de Seta (the Seta Valley), carved out by the Seta river between the Serrella and Alfaro mountains. The valley is famous for its fruit trees, especially almond trees. These burst into blossom during Spring, transforming the valley with colour and scent.

The rugged nature of the area offers opportunities for activities like (Nordic) walking and mountain biking.

Or you can explore the caves of Benideleig and Canalobre.
If it is culture and history that is of interest to you, then you can visit the olive oil museum in Alcoi, the Turron ( a local nougat speciality) in Xixona, or the rock drawings of Sarga, all within easy distance.

Throughout the year you can experience traditional Spanish festivities like the Saint Cayentano festival in Famorca during the first week of August, the impressive “Moros y Christianes” festival in Alcoi, the “Fogeures de San Joan” in Alicante or the spectacular processions around Easter each year.
